Thoughts

Oh Allan, I wish you could have stayed with us a bit longer. I miss our chats, I miss listening to your stories and I miss us walking together in silence. You always made sure no one is left alone. You were the one going to the next table to ask where they come from if you didn't understand their language. Still today I do not know which one was your child or grandchild and which one was Christine's, you never made a difference, they were all your family that you were proud of. You were stubborn, remember that one walk to Goulediana when someone hadn't had breakfast and someone did not drink enough and it was really hot day. I was so afraid then and relieved when you started to recover. At least you learned and after that you were good boy drinking his water. When I think of you I always see in my eyes you and your lady walking hand in hand somewhere in Cretan mountains. I hope you have it all fine now, I love you and miss you so much. Hugs, Tiina

More than 20 years ago I met Allan and Christine in Crete. Allan became a very dear friend. Allan treated me as if I were family and for me he was like a father. He was a wonderful man : kind, caring, thoughtful, loving, but also full of jokes. I will never forget him and I am greatful to have known him.
